because it's lilith and i have a small poem in it...

i have a little poem in this new anthology! Lilith Devotional Now Available! « The Fruit of Pain Goddess? Demon? First woman? Feminist icon? Who—or what—is Lilith? For centuries, She has haunted the edges of civilization. In the 21st century, She seems to be asserting Herself more adamantly than ever. Has She been calling you? For the first time, this volume combines historical, practical, and devotional material on Lilith. It gives an overview of Her presence in the writings, lore, and imaginations of a variety of cultures from ancient Sumerian to present day vampirism. It provides an introduction to forming a personal and working relationship with Lilith as a living and vibrant entity, including correspondences, lessons, offerings, and a basic ritual. Most importantly, it serves as the first collection of devotional writing for and about Lilith. Contributed by writers around the globe, these poems, prayers, and essays give insights into the mysteries of this elusive and often misunderstood figure by those who already know and love Her. Price: $15.00 plus shipping (NOTE: Lulu has a free shipping offer right now on total purchases over $19.95)

redesign

yay. redesigned the blog. loving it.

am so behind on posts for the lilith plan. must make time to get them posted up.

oh the karman cannula will be arriving soon from the states. it was a bitch trying to get them. a good friend of ours who has been visiting the states from cairo for the past few weeks was able to help us. so assuming they make it from atl to cairo, it should all be good.

slowly slowly. it is all coming to be.

the freyja collective

beautiful.

Inspired by the Lilith Plan, the FREYJA collective exists for the women of Utah.

the FREYJA collective promotes: fertility awareness, radical self-sufficiency, earth centered living, youth outreach, justice, and choice.

i am really excited to watch this grow. these little ways that we find to be able to re-seed/re-wild ourselves in response to the destructiveness of our current ways of living. to grinding ourselves in the destruction machine.

also want to point to a couple of the collective's principles that i loved:

Plant medicine, and especially wildcrafting, must be done with an eye to the species. For example, we strongly discourage the use of blue cohosh, as the herb is nearly extinct. Plant medicine, and especially wildcrafting, must be done with an eye to the species. For example, we strongly discourage the use of blue cohosh, as the herb is nearly extinct.

We exist to promote access to reproductive health choices to young women, who currently receive an abysmal education in sexual health in the state of Utah.

(...)

In ritual and celebration, we strive to resist the appropriation of that which does not belong to us.

go check it out! they also have a facebook page.

on a side note, i love klimt, so the visual of the blog won me over immediately...

in the next couple of weeks

ok in the next couple of weeks i plan to:

1. get a couple of posts up about acupressure and menstrual cycle. basically walking through the acu points in 'woman heal thyself' in an accessible way. w/ good pictures.

2. review a book i just finished reading on women's energy medicine. it does not deal specifically with pregnancy prevention/abortion, but does provide simple techniques that i think would be helpful.

3. figure out a way to get the cannula working on the del-em.
